It seems that the Brazilian ‘Phenomenon’- Ronaldo has chosen Samuel Eto’o (currently earning £60,000 per week) to play alongside him at AC Milan, rather than his compatriot, Ronaldinho (currently earning £158,000 per week). It’s been said that the Rossoneri board has shown an interest in getting the Cameroonian to play upfront with Ronaldo and backed by Kaka.

Kaka on the other hand, together with Galliani and Berlusconi have in their own way, tried on many occasions, persuading ‘Gaucho’ (Ronaldinho) to join them at the Rossoneri camp. These are all the preparations that are taking place currently in Serie A, as all teams prepare for the next season.

But somehow or rather, Eto’o did mention that he never would play in Italy, due to some racists remarks thrown at him over there. To me, if he did play alongside Ronaldo and Kaka, he would make a remarkable impact in Milan.

Looking at the current situation, it won’t be very easy for Milan to get Eto’o just yet as the Rossoneri will have stiff competition from Manchester United (£29m)and Chelsea (£30m), who both have put their bids for the goal scoring sensation.

Imagining a Brazilian ‘tridente’ in Milan, for me, is simply mind boggling. What are the odds of having this three star’s playing side by side….I like! But sometimes even by having all the star’s on the same side, does not mean success is guaranteed, take the example of Real Madrid.

And definitely right now, what AC Milan really needs are players that can adapt to Carlo Ancelloti’s tactical scheme. Player’s like Ze Roberto (Santos) and Alexandre Pato (Internacional) have also taken their place in Milan’s book of shortlisted player’s.

At the end of the day, whatever decision’s made at the Rossoneri, will still have to depend on Eto’o. Remember, Rio Ferdinand is a close friend of Eto’o, this put’s a very strong possibility that he would prefer a move to Old Trafford. What do you think?

Till then, let’s just enjoy the game.

Milan is a city with diversities it offers a delightful experience for tourists with varied taste. Everything from modern art to contemporary architecture is the pride of city. In 569 A.D. Lombard’s conquered Milan and by the end of eighth century the bishops managed to compel an alliance with emperors. During the earlier half of year 1000, the most powerful political figure in northern Italy was the Archbishop of Milan. By the year 1117, Milan managed to become a municipality and was at liberty from the clutches of Archbishop. Next it developed into a “Seigneury” from 1200, and gained increased importance as a major city in world. The city has been rising since then until lately by 1861 it claimed itself a place as the Kingdom of Italy.

Milan is well known for stupendous art and culture heritage. The most famous National Museum of Science and technology, “Leonardo da Vinci” in Milan is among world’s best scientific and technical museums. A water stretch, Navigli in Milan allows navigation from Ticino to center of Milan. Navigli Grande and Navigli Pavese join Milan to Pavia and form one of the most charismatic spots in Milan. There are numerous roadside shops and clubs on the banks of these rivers.

The place Brera in Milan gives almost the look and feel of Paris. It constitutes most fashionable spot of the city. The area is full of open-air shops that exhibit loads of apparels, all of which seem to be a sculpture on its own. The area includes Via Brera, Via Pontaccio, Corso Garibaldi and Corso Como, these places are also known as “luxury Bohemian”.

A perfect place to pass free time in the laps of nature is a large fascinating park having meadows, little bridges and lakes located behind Castello Sforzesco. Another place of interest is the Milan Lounge “Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. Walking around the arms of this lounge provides a view of restaurants, boutiques, bookshops and old-coffee stops.

Milan’s platter has witnessed a lot of changes. It offers every kind of taste ranging from Chinese cooking to Indian, African, Japanese and Middle Eastern cooking styles. Recently there has been increased demand for Milan’s original traditional food. A trip to Milan is almost incomplete without trying typical native food of the place. A classical Negroni is one of the many aperitifs that can be served with some snacks. Some of all time favorite conventional dishes of the place are Risotto alla Milanese, Cassouella and a specific Milan cutlet that has a very pleasing flavor.

Milan is an ultimate for fashion freaks and a paradise for shoppers. The popular Fashion Quadrilatero form the magnificent shopping area. The place contains top showrooms and boutiques in world crammed with articles boosting of best designs. All eminent brands and labels on earth constituting of Chanel, Armani, Prada, D & G, Valentino, Cartier and many more have their magnificent outlets at this place. The streets Via Sant’Andrea, Via Della Spiga, Via Montenapoleone, Via Manzoni along with others boosts of having warehouses clustered in that area. Milan offers a never say enough attitude for every flavor of life and is a remains a hot favorite among tourists around the globe.

The Brazilian’s brace came in the last 20 minutes as Milan’s dominance eventually bore fruit after Alessandro Nesta had pounced on Felipe Melo’s mistake to give the Rossoneri a narrow half-time advantage.

Both sides lined up as expected, with David Trezeguet and Alexandre Pato missing out through injury. Hasan Salihamidzic kept his place in the Bianconeri starting line-up after his scoring return at Parma in midweek, whilst David Beckham again started from the right side of attack in Milan’s 4-3-3 system.

Milan started the better and made a half-chance when Marco Borriello’s tenacity got the better of Fabio Cannavaro, allowing Ronaldinho to whip in a dangerous cross, which Fabio Grosso just managed to get a head to before an onrushing Beckham.

It was Diego who made the first real chance in the 13th minute, cutting in from the left, flat-footing both Ignazio Abate and Alessandro Nesta, before firing just wide of Nelson Dida’s far post.

Milan continued to look more comfortable on the ball without making any clear cut opportunities, coming up against a steadfast home back four.

Giorgio Chiellini came to the rescue for Juve when the Rossoneri built well down the right to put Beckham in a good crossing position. ‘Golden Balls’ hit a delicious ball into the path of Borriello at the near post, but Chiellini stole a march on the hitman to snuff out the danger.

On 29 minutes, Ronaldinho got clear down the left before playing a low ball in for Borriello, who tried to flick the ball up before shooting, giving Cannavaro time to block his left-foot strike.

Andrea Pirlo’s resulting corner was a poor one, but Felipe Melo inexplicably allowed the ball to bounce between his legs and through to Alessandro Nesta, who had the easiest of tasks to tap in at the far post.

Luca Antonini caught a stray arm from Salihamidzic as tempers rose and the Bianconeri tried to wrestle their way back into the match.

Juventus then came close to a leveller as a left-wing corner resulted in a scramble in the penalty area. Chiellini pulled himself clear of his marker to slide in with a shot, which Dida managed to parry before scrambling to smother at the second attempt.

Alex Manninger was then forced into a save of his own when Thiago Silva picked up Pirlo’s short free-kick 35 yards from goal and leathered a right foot effort, which forced the Austrian into a full-length sprawl.

When Beckham swung in the subsequent corner, Ronaldinho’s header was deflected just over the bar, leaving the home side still in with a shout as the teams went in for half-time.

Juventus should have been level within seconds of the restart as Amauri met a right-wing corner from Diego, but was unable to get the desired contact and could only glance across goal.

Milan then came close again when Ronaldinho’s low cross from the left of the box was deflected beyond Beckham, who turned and attempted a swinging right-foot volley which flew over the bar.

The game then became more cagey, with Milan controlling much of the possession, leaving Ciro Ferrara contemplating changes. He made his first move on the hour, replacing Salihamidzic with Alessandro Del Piero in the hope that the No. 10 could work his old magic.

But Milan started to make the better chances once more, and Borriello passed up an opportunity to put the game beyond Juve when Manninger and Chiellini got into a muddle, but the Italian striker was slow to get the ball under control and could neither get a shot in nor feed the unmarked Beckham.

Borriello again could have scored on 71 minutes, as Beckham retrieved the ball on the bye-line and lofted a cross to the far post, where the centre-forward chested instead of heading and the chance was gone.

But within a minute Milan deservedly put the game to bed when Ronaldinho was left unmarked at the near post to flick on Pirlo’s corner, and the ball took a slight deflection off substitute Paolo De Ceglie on its way into the bottom corner of the net.

Many Juventus fans saw this as a good time to leave, whilst others started to burn their complementary newspapers in the stands in protest.

Those who left simply saved themselves the pain of watching Milan control possession, and, almost inevitably, they added a late third. And it was Ronaldinho who netted once more. The Brazilian ghosted in at the far post on 88 minutes to meet David Beckham’s low cross ahead of a static Juventus defence.

The result puts Milan back within eight points of neighbours Inter, whilst Juventus now find themselves in serious danger of dropping out of the Champions League reckoning at the season’s halfway mark.

An ace will win this classic battle, but who will it be?

Adriano Galliani described this match as the “real Derby d’Italia”, but whatever you call it, the showdown between Juventus and Milan at the Stadio Olimpico will take center stage in Serie A’s week 19 of action.

With so much riding on the game, both sides will need to ensure they throw the dice well. Who will be the ace? The joker? They say to always bet on black, but in this game of Calcio roulette the red is worth a punt. 36-1, Ciro Ferrara will just be hoping it pays the three points as he gambles on Juve’s season.

Ciro Ferrara v Leonardo

Ferrara has come under heavy scrutiny for what has been seen by many as a fallible season. If seasonal objectives are to be attained, the coach will need to set the tone here against a Leonardo who is not afraid to throw caution to the wind. Neither coach will shrink away from the challenge ahead. A win for either will see contrasting fortunes at either end of the A4 Torino-Milano motorway.

Fabio Cannavaro v Marco Borriello

The battle of Naples. Borriello needs little introduction to one of Italy’s great defenders. This will be an interesting conflict where the striker’s aerial threat could see Cannavaro struggle – some might say cat and mouse. However, the stopper is likely to use his usual up close and personal tactics to ruffle the hitman’s feathers. Six goals in 11 Serie A games for Borriello, who has played more times already than he did the whole of last season, meaning his fellow Neapolitan will have to be wide awake.

Fabio Grosso v David Beckham

All eyes will be on Beckham down on the right side where he is likely to encounter a big obstacle in Grosso. We all know the Englishman can deliver, but the Italian defender has yet to underline his status in the left role. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top. Grosso likes to venture forward – leaving large spaces that ‘Becks’ will thrive on exploiting.

Felipe Melo v Andrea Pirlo

Juventus thought they had bought Pirlo when they signed Melo from Fiorentina. It didn’t quite turn out that way. One is a play-breaker, the other a sort of play-maker who can also break it up as and when. As the former, the Brazilian will need to ensure Pirlo has little room to maneuver, swivel and find his men with slick passing. It’s crunch time. Melo has to render, not surrender.

Diego v Ronaldinho

No Calcio celebration will be complete without the party piece from Brazil. Two of the world’s finest masters of the skillful side. Panache, technique, wizardry, magic. Lets just hope they come out of their shell and pull the rabbit out of the hat or they may be given the stick, not the carrot at half time. Diego has yet to fulfill his potential in Turin, despite a good start earlier. Ronnie is getting there. Slowly, but surely he is finding the harmony to reforge a special bond with pitch and ball. For both men this is the chance to put it all together. The stage is set. Abracadabra!

Other Key Players

The referee… Actually, on another note, football is a team game, and thus the other unsung heroes are all waiting for their moment of glory. Midfielder Claudio Marchisio usually rises up to the big occasion, remember that sublime goal against Inter? Who said goals? Amauri listen up. The Brazilian has struggled to find the net with frequency, but he is likely to have his say. An unexpected goal from him is always a possibility. Alex Manninger has a major task of filling Gianluigi Buffon’s gloves. Then we have Nelson Dida, any slippery glove-induced calamities like the ones against Real Madrid will have the Old Lady chuckling.

Milan is a place of contrast and culture, poverty and incredible wealth and so you would think that it is just like any other major City but then if you did that you would be wrong – Milan is different.

Milan is the second largest City in Italy and the richest, and without any shadow of a doubt the home of international fashion. Which makes Milan a bustling busy place, but not in a bad way, Milan is fashionable, fun, fast and furious.

And it gets better, Milan is also achingly attractive in fact some say that Milan is a cross between sublime Venice and artistic Rome but with one key difference, Milan is not dependant upon tourism for its income.

Milan is the home of most of Italy’s major industries and the Italian Stock exchange and so tourists feel less pressured strolling the streets and there are fewer tacky tourist attractions, because the City doesn’t depend upon your Dollar, Pound or Yen to survive and neither does its people.

So what is there to see in a place that isn’t actually geared to fleece the tourist at every turn you ask yourself? Well the answer is that there is so very much to see and here is just a small taste.

The peerless La Scala Opera House, the incredibly elaborate Cathedral, the Castello Sforzesco and the wall painting by Leonardo da Vinci the Last Supper, which even though it was bombed in the second world war is still in one piece.

And of course Milan is probably more famous for fashion than anything else. So any brand that is a brand calls Milano their home and these brands include Gucci, Versace, Armani, Dolce & Gabbana and Prada.

Milan is where you can not only catch a glimpse of these elegant fashion houses’ corporate headquarters, in the wild so to speak and gawp at their pencil thin employees, you can do so much more!

You can go shopping in the fashion houses’ stores, where you will find the very latest creations at very creative prices, but if your budget won’t run to more than three noughts for a scarf well there is hope for you yet. Because in the tr?chic Quadrilatero d’Oro, or Golden Square to us mere mortals, you will find last year’s label bargains, designer label seconds and better still emerging brands who haven’t yet quite mastered the art of adding so many naughts to their price tags.

On the other hand if you have come to Milan to just chill then there is no better place than the river side area known as Navigli. There is probably nowhere in the world more restful than to sit in a Canal side caf?restaurant or an old fashioned ice cream shop know locally as a Gelaterie and just savour the atmosphere and aromas.

In front of you is sparkling clear blue water with brightly coloured boats moored to the causeway, and around you are Italians doing the one thing that they are most famous for – eating.

The smell of shell-fish cooking quickly with White Wine and Garlic gets all mixed up with the mouth watering aroma of Pure Vanilla Ice Cream made the way only Italians know how and all of this is accompanied by the glorious laughter that greets you as soon as the Milanese stop smiling at you.

Milan is City content with itself, and without too many pretensions once you get away from the Quadrilatero d’Oro of course, and that makes it a great place to visit.

In August Milan is pretty empty and there is a good reason for that the locals go on holiday somewhere cooler because August is hot, so if you shop around for an hotel it is likely that you will be able to book a top hotel at a very attractive price.

The best places to look for such a great deal, or indeed a hotel at any time of the year would be a website that offers price comparison between hotels; a good example is be BookingSpot.

So be sure and make Milan top of your list of places to visit it will be somewhere you talk about for a long while after you visit it.

I really thought I knew everything there is about the midfielder, but reading a David Beckham biography I found out more about the man behind the superstar. That’s why I decided to write my own biography of David Beckham, to share to you the player behind the million dollar endorsements.

David Beckham Biography – Manchester United

David Beckham’s story starts out near London, where he was born to a family of Manchester United fans. Despite being so close to clubs like West Ham United, Arsenal or Chelsea, Beckham’s aim was always the Red Devils club. As luck would have it, on his fourteenth birthday, he was taken in the Manchester youth program, and he even starred next to the senior team…as a mascot.

Just 4 years later, he went on to play for Sir Alex Ferguson’s senior squad, but his performance still needed fine tuning, so he was loaned to Preston North End for a year, returning to Manchester with some match experience. He quickly gained his place in the squad, despite his young age and became one of Manchester’s most preeminent players during the following decade.

His most successful season with Manchester is undoubtedly 1999, when the club achieved the Treble (League, Cup and Champions League in the same season) and with David Beckham playing soccer like never before.

It’s around then that he “trademarked” his famous free kicks and crosses and seeing some footage of David Beckham in action during that period will shed all doubts as to whether or not his superstardom status has a solid basis in his playing style, or just his good looks.

David Beckham Biography – 1998 World Cup Incident

His career did have a few rough moments, the most notable one being in 1998 with the English national side, at that year’s World Cup. In the Second Round, where England would play Argentina, Beckham was taunted by Argentinean midfielder Diego Simeone and he responded with a swing towards the player, which earned him a red card for bad behavior on the pitch.

With England losing the match and being knocked out of the tournament, all blame fell on David Beckham, as the English newspapers put him against the wall and fired up some poisonous articles. Any other player would have stayed low, or even quit soccer, but David Beckham’s ambition brought him back to the top. His performance with Manchester the following year, earned him back the respect of his fans and the entire world.

David Beckham Biography – Real Madrid

By the time David Beckham moved to Real Madrid in 2003, he was already a well-known star on the international stage. In his four years with the Madrid club he managed to win the Spanish league once, but his performance was deemed poorer than what he was playing at Manchester.

Many attributed this loss of form due to the new system found at Real and the fact that at Madrid he wasn’t the “star” of the team anymore, since he was playing next to other internationally famous soccer players like Zinedine Zidane, Raul or Roberto Carlos.

David Beckham Biography – Los Angeles Galaxy

Moving to play in the United States for the Los Angeles Galaxy as of 2007 earned him one of the biggest contracts in the history of soccer and it was an offer David couldn’t have refused, despite the fact that the soccer level in the United States is not as high as the one practiced in Spain.
